Overview

Under the general direction of the Association Facilities Director and consistent with the Christian mission and the policies and procedures set forth by the YMCA of Catawba Valley, the Facilities Director is responsible for all aspects of property management. As a member of the professional staff, the Facilities Director is a constructive member of the YMCA whose major priority is to maintain the property to the highest level of cleanliness and attractiveness as possible.

Responsibilities

  • The daily maintenance and upkeep of the facilities and campus needs and communication with the 3 rd party providers (ex., janitorial, mowing, contractors, etc.)
  • Working closely with the janitorial staff in maintaining clean and attractive facilities and delivering the highest quality service possible to members.
  • Maintaining the preventative maintenance program for all equipment, tools and Y vehicles.
  • Documentation and inspections on fire systems, vehicles, pool areas, etc.
  • Development, implementation, and monitoring of maintenance department budget.
  • Coordinating and supervising all community service workers.
  • Coordinating the snow/ice removal program for the branch during inclement weather.
  • Assisting the Executive Director and program directors with building issues.
  • Work together to support facilities needs of the entire associations building portfolio when needed.
  • Serves as a member of the Crisis Management Response Team and is expected to respond immediately and appropriately to facility emergencies such as alarms, plumbing, electrical emergencies, etc.
  • Achieving goal for annual fundraising efforts.
  • Assists with other facility issues as needed.
  • Being well groomed at all times and reporting to work properly dressed. Staff shirts may be required.
  • Assumes Manager on Duty (MOD) responsibilities as scheduled.
  • Any other duties assigned by the supervisor or the Executive Director.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equal required.
  • Knowledge in property management.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of related to facility and grounds maintenance including landscaping, pest management, fire and safety equipment, etc.
  • Must be able to work with little supervision and have initiative to solve problems concerning property.
  • Knowledge of emergency policies and procedures for the facility.
  • Experience in HVAC, electrical, boilers, pools/spas, and pump systems.
  • CPO Certification required or ability to retain within 6 months of hire.
  • Strong understanding of risk management issues and safety requirements for the facility.
  • Must have good communication and organizational skills

Posted Salary Range

USD $40,000.00 - USD $45,000.00 /Yr.
