Overview

Under the general direction of the Facility Director and consistent with the mission and the policies and procedures set forth by the YMCA of Catawba Valley, the Facility Janitorial & Landscape Assistant is responsible for all aspects of Facility Janitorial, Landscape, basic maintenance, and safety, and security for the Branch.  As a member of the professional staff, the Facility Janitorial & Landscape Assistant is a constructive member of the YMCA whose major priority is to maintain the facility to the highest level of cleanliness and attractiveness possible.

Responsibilities

  • The daily maintenance and upkeep of the YMCA property.
  • Dealing with and resolving cleaning issues.
  • Maintaining a clean and attractive facility and delivering the highest quality of service possible to members.
  • Stocking and keeping cleaning supplies and toiletries maintained for the facility.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and welcoming campus.
  • Being well groomed at all times and reporting to work properly dressed.
  • Any other duties assigned by Facility Director or Executive Director.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Must be able to work with little supervision and have initiative to solve problems concerning property.
  • Knowledge of emergency policies and procedures for the facility.
  • Strong understanding of risk management issues and safety requirements for the facility.
  • Must have good communication and organizational skills.

Posted Salary Range

USD $15.00 - USD $18.00 /Hr.
