Overview

Under the direction of the Senior Program Director of Childcare and consistent with the Christian mission, the Academic Coordinator is 100% dedicated to the program site location and is responsible for the oversight of academic interventions with regards to the planning and implementation of intervention plans for children enrolled in the 21st Century Program. The Academic Coordinator is responsible for effective curriculum delivery, the achievement of student academic goals, learning outcomes and the meeting of targets and benchmarks. The Academic Coordinator has a key role in the development of a positive work environment – one that is innovative and responsive to student needs. The Academic Coordinator will work with the Student/Grant Support Specialist, Certified Teacher Liaison, and school staff to carry out the vision and mission of the 21st Century Program.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to read and interpret data and create intervention plans for children across grade levels.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with a team.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to do math up to a 6th grade level.
  • Ability to effectively deliver reading and math interventions for students k-6th grades.
  • Ability to collect and organize data to track student progress; submits reports as requested.
  • Ability to interpret and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to solve practical problems, analyze information, and use logic to address work related issues and problems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information of a sensitive and confidential nature.
  • Ability to operate various technology, computer software, and web-based platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, families, school staff, district staff, and overall school community.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
  • Ability to perform duties with a high level of detail and accuracy.
  • Records and tracks student attendance and sign in/out sheets.
  • Any duty assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of Associate’s Degree in Education field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in K-6 Classroom Setting, Early Childhood Education, or Exceptional Children’s program.
  • Experience in goal writing, SMART goals, and data disaggregation.
  • Experience with planning and implementing family engagement events.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Experience with office administration, early childhood, and customer service is a plus.

Posted Salary Range

USD $18.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
